World Cup Qualification
World Cup 2024 qualifiers were open to every member association, which are presently 211 teams in total. By default, the hosting nation Qatar qualified for the competition. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC), on the other hand, required Qatar to compete in the Asian qualifying stage because the first two rounds also served as a requirement for the AFC Asian Cup 2024.
