Bangladesh is gearing up for an action-packed month-long tour of Sri Lanka, set to kick off on June 17 and conclude on July 16. The tour will feature all three formats of cricket, promising a thrilling spectacle for fans. The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board unveiled the detailed schedule on Monday, May 5, ensuring a jam-packed calendar for both teams.
The tour will commence with the red-ball action, as the two Test matches take center stage. The first Test will be held in Galle starting June 17, followed by the second Test at the iconic Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo from June 25. These matches are expected to test the mettle of both teams in the traditional format of the game.
Once the Test series concludes, the focus will shift to the One-Day Internationals (ODIs). The three-match ODI series will begin on July 2, with the first two games taking place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The final ODI will be hosted in Pallekele on July 8, offering a change of scenery for the players and fans alike.
Wrapping up the tour will be a high-octane T20I series, consisting of three matches. The first T20I will be held in Pallekele on July 10, followed by the second in Dambulla on July 13. The series finale will return to Colombo on July 16, ensuring a grand finish to the cricketing extravaganza.
