However, journalist Duncan Castles has poured cold water on the optimism, revealing that Brentford has not budged from their £70 million valuation. “Manchester United’s offer has not reached Brentford’s expectations,” Castles said on the Transfers Podcast. “The guaranteed fee plus realistic bonuses is over £60 million, but Brentford wants £70 million guaranteed.”
