PKL 12 Auction: Every Player Who Hit the Jackpot This Season

PKL 12 Auction: Every Player Who Hit the Jackpot This Season

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), India’s second most celebrated sports extravaganza, made a triumphant return in October 2024. The tenth season was a spectacle on multiple fronts, from uncovering fresh talent to groundbreaking broadcasting achievements.

Spanning two thrilling months, the season saw a staggering 137 matches, including 132 league fixtures and 5 playoff clashes. The Haryana Steelers carved their name in history on December 29, 2024, clinching their maiden title in a nail-biting finale.

As anticipation builds, the twelfth edition of PKL is rumored to kick off in July 2025. The auction, held on May 31 and June 1, 2025, was a high-stakes drama where franchises battled it out for the cream of the crop.

Mohammadreza Shadlu Chiyaneh, the Iranian powerhouse, emerged as the most expensive overseas player, snapped up by Gujarat Giants for a whopping Rs. 2.23 crores. Meanwhile, the charismatic raider Devank Dalal fetched Rs. 2.205 crores, joining the Bengal Warriorz.

Dabang Delhi KC secured the services of Indian raider Ashu Malik for Rs. 1.90 crores, while Patna Pirates invested Rs. 1.5725 crores in Ankit Jaglan. Tamil Thalaivas didn’t hold back either, acquiring Arjun Deshwal for Rs. 1.405 crores.

However, the auction wasn’t without its shocks. Legends like Pardeep Narwal, Vikash Kandola, and Siddharth Desai went unsold, leaving fans and pundits alike in disbelief.
