The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, has officially announced the rescheduled dates for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10. The cricketing extravaganza is set to reignite on May 17, culminating in a grand finale on May 25.
The six-franchise league had been temporarily paused due to escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan, coupled with a security incident near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. However, with the recent ceasefire agreement, cricket in Pakistan is ready to roar back to life.
Initially, the PCB contemplated moving the remaining matches to the United Arab Emirates due to security concerns. However, reports later surfaced that the Emirates Cricket Board declined the request to host the games. Consequently, the PCB suspended the tournament in alignment with government directives.
Recent developments indicate that the PCB has crafted a revised plan to complete the final eight matches, a move confirmed by Naqvi through a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
“HBL PSL X picks up from where it left off! 6 teams, 0 fear,” Naqvi declared. “Let the aura take over as we unite and celebrate the spirit of cricket. Get ready for 8 thrilling matches starting 17th May, leading up to the Grand Final on 25th May. Best of luck to all the teams.”
The remaining fixtures are expected to be held in Karachi and Islamabad, promising a thrilling conclusion to the season.
